Cocoa Sesame Oatmeal Bars/ Kakao kocke od zobenih pahuljica sa sezamom

 

One of my favourite sweet treats with sesame are cocoa sesame oat bars. No need to bake, they contain sesame and oats (that I love), and if you keep them refrigerated they will be good for up to a week! Sometimes I use sugar but honey can also be used instead, and if you flavour the bars with rum,  I assure you, you will love them!  Me and hubby enjoyed them yesterday, with a big cup of hot chocolate, the perfect comfort food, when it is snowing outside (hey, it is the end of March!?  Spring, where are you…:)

No Bake Cocoa Sesame Oat Bars, flavoured with rum.

Ingredients
  1. 350 grams of dry rolled oats
  2. 160 grams of brown sugar (you may also use honey instead)
  3. 50 grams butter
  4. 70-80 ml milk
  5. 2, 5 tablespoons sesame seeds
  6. 2 teaspoons Tahini Paste (sesame paste)
  7. 1 teaspoon black sesame
  8. 4 tablespoons cocoa powder, unweetened
  9. Optional: 1 teaspoon rum, or/and cinnamon
Instructions
  1. In an ungreased pan roast sesame seeds. Set aside.
  2. In a medium pot stir together butter, sugar (or honey), milk, cocoa, tahini paste, stir well until melted completely. Add rum and/or cinnamon (up to your taste). Stir in oats, and stir until well incorporated.
  3. Line an 20x25 cm baking dish with parchment paper. Pour the mixture into the baking dish. Spread to edges and press down with a spatula to even off the top. Refrigerate for abaout 60 minutes. Lift by parchment paper onto a cutting board. Slice into bars or squares. Wrap individually to store.
Notes
  1. If you make the bars for children, you may use cinnamon instead.

Trenutno su blogovi puni divnih recepata i ideja za predstojeće blagdane,  već danima uživam u njima, ali nikako da iz zimskog „modusa“ pređem u proljetni, mada nam se, nakon 3 dana neprestanog padanja snijega i hladnoće koja se uvlači u kosti, napokon jutros pojavilo i sunce. Pa i krajnje vrijeme je, zar ne! Dosta mi je debelih jakni, šalova i kapa, jedva čekam da idem u šetnju a da mi nije potrebno svaki put potrošiti pola sata samo da nabacim jedno petnaest slojeva na sebe…

Ali, da vas ne gnjavim previše svojom kad-će-napokon-stići-proljeće kuknjavom :) Danas dijelim recept za kockice od zobenih pahuljica sa sezamom, s daškom ruma s vama, kocke bez pečenja, kocke za grickanje u divnom društvu, ali i savršene kad se uvečer uvučete pod dekicu i s dragom osobom gledate neki dobar film, kao što sam to ja sinoć radila :)

Za otprilike 25 manjih kockica potrebno je:

Kakao kocke sa prženim sezamom, tahini pastom i zobenim pahuljicama i rumom. Kombinacija koja oduševljava!

Ingredients
  1. 350 g zobenih pahuljica
  2. 50 g maslaca
  3. 70-80 ml mlijeka
  4. 160 g smeđeg šećera (npr. Demerara) ili šećer zamijenite medom
  5. 2 žlice sezamovih sjemenki (svijetlih)
  6. 1 žlica crnog sezama
  7. 2 žlice tahin paste
  8. 4 žličice kakao praha
  9. Opcionalno: 1 žličica ruma ili cimet
Instructions
  1. Propržite sezamove sjemenke, 2-3 minute dok ne dobiju boju, na tavi bez masnoće. Ostavite da se ohlade.
  2. U loncu otopite maslac, dodajte mlijeko, tahin pastu, kakao, rum ili cimet (po želji), miješati neprestano dok ne dobijete homogenu smjesu.
  3. U tu smjesu dodati zobene pahuljice, dobro izmiješati spatulom, smjesa će biti jako gusta
  4. Pleh (20x25c) obložite papirom za pečenje. Istresite smjesu u pleh, dobro spatulom pritisnite i poravnajte. Po smjesi ravnomjerno rasporedite pržene sezamove sjemenke.
  5. Stavite otprilike 1 sat u hladnjak. Prije serviranja isjeći na kockice ili štanglice.
Notes
  1. U hladnjaku se kockice mogu držati i do 7 dana.
